Replacement wheel locks?

Hey all. I heard that the McGard wheel locks that Acura uses are terrible. Apparently, the keys often get bent when garages use air tools on them, and it's a huge pain to remove them.

Has anyone heard this? Can anyone recommend different locks to use?

I dont know about the wheel locks specifically but using air tools to tighten lug nuts instead of a torque wrench is a bad thing.

Yep, I agree. I have never had a problem using my torque wrench on the locks.

you aren't suppose to use air guns on the wheel lock anyway... they're suppose to be manually torque on.

We know that from your original post about garages using them. I would just ask the shop to NOT use air tools next time around.

A new set is ~$33 to replace.
