Lightbulb Removing plastic around gearbox

Hey guys, been doing some cheap simple mods. Added LED's for all lights, interior and exterior but i figured i can step it up a notch and add LED glow strips like this. The only thing is i want to hide wires as much as possible, after watching some

i got a general idea to wire the first two as seen @ 1:30. Now what i wanted to do for the back two led strips was to go through both sides of the center console as seen in the pic. Then to plug in the tool into the cig-ligter thats inside the glove box (2005 tsx), i was going to drill a hole through the INSIDE of the interior and feed it through there.

I really just want to know how to remove the sides of the gearbox/console area, couldnt find utube videos that show it. Some have it already removed others only remove the top part that has the gearbox cover.

Thank you!

Alright for anyone reading this, i found my answer. You dont need to remove the plastic but rather just nudge the wires on the lower part of the side of the center console

Update after a few months.
1. They still work and the remote gives me no issues
2. They randomly will sometimes default to the strobe mode after not starting the car for a 4-5 days~

Looks awesome. Do you have pictures of how you installed these? Which version did you get, and what circuit did you tap to wire it up? I've always wanted something like this for the footwells, but this one looks a bit bright. It's classy on the newer cars when the footwells light up when you open the doors. I want something where the footwells light up bright when you open the doors but then stay on a very low constant illumination when the headlights are in (so at night while driving). I have no idea how to do it though, but I know getting a constant on with the doors or with the headlights on is easy enough. It's the different intensity levels based on moving vs. not moving vehicle that just isn't easy to pull off.

I passed the wire by tucking it under the gearbox, the plastic allows enough clearance to tuck them. As for the power i plugged it into the arm rest from the back. These stay on 24/7 unless the power is unplugged.
