Remote Starter replacement
Whats up all,
I was just here with a question about a replace remote starter remote. I bought a car used 2004 tsx, and it had a basic remote starter and all it did was a small remote with one button that started the engine for me from a distance. I dropped the key and accidentally ended up steping on the remote start and it cracked open. Now the remote starter wont work. Does anyone know of something i could do in this situation? It seems like an old or unpopular model. audiovox. Do i need to buy a new remote of the same kind? and if i do, does it need to be reprogrammed? Would the reprogramming be something i could do on my own or does it need a professional?

I ended up walking into Pepboys with my old remote (the buttons started falling out), and a guy helped me spot one that was compatible with the unit in my car (basically just matched the numbers on the back of the remote and found a similar one). You'll need to reprogram the new one to work, instructions come with the booklet, not too hard to do.
