Remote Start 2004 MT - Neutral Safety Wire

Hey guys, I want to install a remote start system in my 6speed mt 2004 tsx. I would like to know if anyone has a wiring diagram for it but I need to find out where the Neutral Safety Switch wire is located so I can install it properly. I've read on the forum that this car doesn't have one, but I want to make sure that it is true.

If anyone has done one or has an ECM diagram or any other control module where the wire may be located, please let me know.

Thanks, Steve

I've looked everywhere in the service manual, there isn't a NSS...Only on the AT.
I ended up using 2 springs going top and bottom across shifter completing a grounding circuit to the handbrake. Only touching the 2 springs when the shifter is in the neutral position. It works very well as the shifter isn't grounded and surrounded by plastic...
Good luck!

Do you have a picture of your install so I can see what you are talking about? I have done installs using magnetic contacts when the shifter is in neutral position. This is not my car. Also, can you tell me how the gear shifter comes apart? so I can get in there and install some type of contact device...

Thanks again, Steve

I didnt take anything apart other than the center console plastic to see the gear shifter...

I just drilled 4 small holes enough for the spings to go through in the plastic square where the shifter is. So u dont need all that mounting hardware in the example. This seems a lot safer than using reed switches and laser beams

damn that's ingenious! too bad i still think there's better ideas out there. That just seems like one of those things that would come loose or break after a while.

I'm just really really careful with my remote start. I just become used to always parking in neutral, or if I leave it in gear, I ALWAYS use the toggle switch to disable the remote start.

yeah, you just can't be absent minded when you park your car. I'm just scared one drunken night, I'll forget to leave it in neutral and start my car.

but then again, you shouldn't drink and drive.
