Recommend a TSX replacement?
OK guys, need some advice. My TSX lease is up this winter, so I'm in the research phase for a replacement daily driver. I just bought a fun car (M Coupe), and my wife has an SUV supplied by her company.
I guess I'm looking for something reasonably fun, able to transport four people comfortably, capable in inclement weather, and reliability would be nice. I'd like to spend $40K or less, and I prefer a new car.
I've loved the TSX, but I do not want another Acura right now. The G35X is a possibility, but I see so many of those. I could probably swing a 328xi, but it would be very difficult for me to buy that when the 335xi is just about $5K more. I've even considered an Accord V6--love the price....hate the look.
Any suggestions? Oh yeah, I hate Audis

a new accord is coming out soon...and its pretty sharp...if you can wait, id take a hard look at that as a very viable option...add that to the fact that the price will remain close to where its at and will come with a ton of options...google the 2008 accord now if you can...
another option would be the IS350. Its sporty, powerful, and sleek. Another viable choice if you want to stay in the same vehicle class...
last recommendation would be the new C class. Its much sharper than before and many of its features are upgraded. The styling is nice while remaining luxurious...and its a new model so you will have the joy of riding in a "new" ride for years to come...
good luck

The Mazda 6 is nice, quick, and around $30k.
You can also look at the Lexus IS 250 or IS 350 which are around $40k with the right options.
Mercedes C class is also around your price range and is very nice.
Good luck with your research, hope i helped.

I think you should go for the Mazdaspeed 6 or Legacy GT.

My TSX was a first year (2004.) Not even a hiccup.
I am not a Mazda fan at all. Or Subaru for that matter.
AWD is not a necessity. We usually only have a week or so each year where driving can be tricky.

I'd go Legacy GT too - it will smoke about everything in it's class and its a sleeper. Since you don't like Subaru's, maybe a new G.

This is a pretty good article about AWD sport sedans.

you have very picky taste. no mazda, subaru, audi, acura, and infiniti G35.. your left with very few choice than.
even lexus is out of your choice. IS's are nice but it'll not comfortably carry 4 passengers. ES's can handle 4 passengers but its not sporty.
may be a used Infiniti M35?? it's sporty and holds 4 passengers with comfort.

I'd be looking at a TL-S or G35 given your criteria (or another TSX, quite frankly). The 3G TL-S is actually quicker around the track than either the G35 or the IS350 so I think it is probably worth a look.
