Hehe...IPs have become like the fingerprints of the forum
I just did. It's the same guy. Unbelievable. People blow me away some times. I don't really care that he's here posting, I mean it's kind of funny, but how sad is this guy? We sit around here and talk shit about him and ridicule him, but he is getting a kick out of this.

Hey ...

IMHO, I think the '04 TSX is a better bargain than the '04 TL. Not only built in Japan but the handling is much crisper (test drove both). 5g? I could sink that into mods toward a TSX and make it even more fun! BTW, the difference in price in Canada is C$7k.

Quote: the TL is a commuter car and nice traveling car where you go

you cant really travel with the TSX, the tsx is a car you drive around the city and to the store big whippe
Well, troll or idiot.

And I've taken my lowly TSX on several drives of more than 1-2 hours. It did just fine.

Just go get your TL already and stop hanging around here acting trollish.

I should stop now. I suspect you're getting off on all ther attention.

That is the dumbest comment I have heard in a long time. Buying a house is perhaps the best investment. Do you realize that once you drive off the lot you already lose some where between $2k-$4k on your great 270 V6.

CRACKHEAD!

Quote: I know that. and I don't debate that....but you ever heard of the Honda recall ?

I'd rather have my "Japanese car" 100% Japanese same as I'd like my German brand 100% German rather than S. Africa, S. Carolinian...just frigging anal about this...
I think most people => :whocares:
I know about the recall. I also know about the class action lawsuit relating to tranny issues in other makes/models not covered by the recall. I was just trying to point out that a I think a generalization regarding "cars made in Ohio" as being defective and ":ghey:" is probably missing the mark. Would you prefer a Mitsubishi made Japan over a Honda made in Ohio "just because" it was made in Japan, regardless of the fact that the management covered up 25+ defects from the Japanese government to avoid recalls?

I'd be willing to bet that well invested, in about a year from now, when major mods become available, we will be able to get the TSX to show it's ass to the TL 6MT. So I wouldn't gamble too much on the TL being better at only 5 gran which isn't all that true either.

Also, to someone, having a TL would be classier than having a TSX. But to the M3 owner, it's probably classier then a TL. And a 911 Turbo probably thinks he has a classier car than the M3. Point is, you can always have bigger than you to walk over you, so the pissing contest is downright idiocy.

270HP V6...270HP V6...270HP V6...270HP V6...270HP V6...270HP V6

A Lotus Elise, with its 190HP 4-cylinder, would smoke the TL and its 270HP V6 silly. Heck, it would be neck-and-neck with the 333 HP BMW M3. Power-to-weight wise, the TSX isn't as far behind the TL as you would think. And the handling isn't even close. I think the TSX is at the sweet spot for a FWD platform: any more power, and we would experience torque steer hell like with the TL. Not to mention the TL is a middle-aged person's car, the TSX is youthful and exciting, not big and plush.

The Lotus is great, if you don't mind the fact that there is practically no interior comfort. For a $40K car, the Lotus is a little light on everything other than performance. It would be a great car if I had the money to burn, but right now, I expect more out of a $40K car.

More out of a 40K car?? Guess it is all priorities but if you don't have a Colin Chapman eye I see your point. But the best handling production car in the US (when the first customer car arrives) for 40K is a bargain on the order of a 15k TSX! Will let you know if I ever get mine, way down on the list and it appears dealers are chucking their MSRP wait list, letting guys with 10-15k over MSRP jump line!

As for Fudgepack there will always be something quicker and faster with more HP, why not chuck the apartment, live in a cardboard box and get an I-6 3.2L with 333hp in a true GT, then again forget that mortgage your soul as I know where there is a delivery mileage flat 6 3.6L with 380hp and the list goes on.

Despite what you think for most people the TSX is a GREAT bargain and the initial quality seems higher than the Gen 3 TL. Consider this, there are a lot of cars at the 35k price point that offer a different Lux/sport/feature/quality set than the TL (though it is a great deal itself) BUT try to name a lux or semi-lux marque that has a car with near the lux/sport/feature/quality mix the TSX has...short list, arguably 0. It is a niche car BUT it is more or less alone.

If you are gonna be a troll, be more creative and troll in a slightly more transparent way.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I appreciate a good handling car, but until I'm making at least half a million dollars a year, I can't justify a car such as the Lotus that is not exactly a daily driver. It is a great car, but I just can't afford it until I'm making the big money.

And with the initial dealer markups, and the lack of Lotus dealers in the US, it'll be hard to get a car anyway for a while.

I vertainly see your angle and agree. Mine will replace my current track car but will certainly see a good deal of regular use. Lotus is hoping to gather a bunch of new dealers and it seems to be working, though I am 90 miles from the nearest one. There is a lot of angry guys (and gals) on wait lists, many have been on the list for over 2 years (me just 4 months), it is frustrating to be given a number and have a written contract just to find out that if others who didn't know the car existed until the recent rash of articles can jump line for cash. This isn't that unusual but most were told it wouldn't happen. I am not in such a big rush but it will be nice to own a car whose skid pad #s were higher than an Enzo....

I agree. I prefer it made in whatever country the badge is on it. And looking at the BMWs made here, the Benzs made here, the Acuras made here, it's been pretty horrific quality wise. Lexus chose to build their 1st plant out of Japan in Canada. And when it's time to trade in mothers RX 300 for a RX 330 or 400h, I'll demand it be one from Japan and check the VIN too .

Personally, the TL sounds nice from the outside but it's quality problems are horrendous. There are 2 guys in Atlanta now going to file a lemon law on the 04 TL. I'm a quality kind of guy, so the TSX has to get the vote. The TL packs so much goodies for 32k that something had to give again. And its the quality.

And those pics are hella funny.
