radar positioning

i'm goin to be purchasing the passport 8500 x50 soon but i dont know where is a good place to position the radar. this is my first time buying a radar so i dont know much about them. i just wanted some ideas pictures would help alot.

I hardwired my to the rear view mirror using innvision cord. And it sits aboce the rear view mirror.

what is that secondary mirror attached to your oem rear view for?

I was wondering that as well. I think the curve is to let you be able to see your blind spots...

Its a "lane changer mirror" pretty ghetto, but it lets me see what is going on in the back of the car and on the sides.

I couldnt get a real type s panoramic mirror that would fit.

does anyone know of those hidden detectors where people cant just notice the detector sitting on your windshield and do a smash and grab?

Normally, the higher the detector the better range it has.

But...the higher you place the detector, the less likely it is to detect laser (since it gets aimed low - at bumpers and headlights - and is a narrow beam. But then again, if you're getting a laser alert, chances are you're nailed anyways.
