radar detector displayed on navi

hi everyone
i was wondering if it is possible to have a hidden radar detector wired so it displays on your navi screen?

i remember seeing this on a BMW a couple months back

does anyone know if its possible?
if so, how much?

thanks a lot

its really difficult to do because ours acuras dont have a communication bus like the bmws...if you wanted to do it...it would require lots of work but it wouldnt be fully integrated. i so wish it was easy cause i would do it in a heartbeat but maybe i will just wait till i get an m3

Wow...that's a pretty cool looking interface. $200 bucks is pretty expensive though. It doesn't look like that thing has a rca output. Does anyone know if it has one?

no it does not. bmw's have this communication bus that allows other devices to interface with the car. thats how it displays everything on the navi and guages. if we wanted to do something similar you would need a video input to our navi and then have it switch when there is an alert. it would switch to a board that we would have to design which captures all the information from the v1 and outputs it to rgb outputs. pretty complicated and time consuming...this would cost way too much.

not feasible...my

I just looked at the on screen display. I'm not very impressed. Even if this was out for the TSX, for $200 I would probably just stick with my concealed display.
