Quick side-marker/turn-signal question
Quick side-marker/turn-signal question
I searched and didn't find anything, so...
Are the side marker bulbs also used for the front turn signals, or are the turn signals and side markers two separate pairs of bulbs? I'm talking about the blinker in the side marker. In other words, do the same bulbs that light up the side markers also blink when the turn signal is on?
Reason I ask:
I would like to LED my side markers, but I DON’T want to use LEDs for any blinking turn signals because I heard they blink too rapidly. So if I LED my side markers, will I have a rapid blinking problem?
thanks

Some LEDs have resisters in them to prevent rapid blinking (which IS annoying).
On headlights, side yellow bulbs are side markers, and round yellow ones (between hi and low beams) are turn signals.

What I was asking is this: is the side marker also a turn signal, or is the side blinker a separate bulb within the side marker area? In other words, does the side marker bulb also blink?
I don't think the side marker light blinks. I think the turn signals in the mirrors take the side blinking duty while the round lights between the high and low beams take front blinker duty. In other words, I think the side marker light in the headlight assembly is just a constant on, not a dual filament bulb or two separate bulbs.
