Question: rattles

The rattling problem (I experienced this during a test drive when cornering): is this problem well known by Acura and the dealers know how to deal with it when you bring it in? Do they just tighten the dashboard more, or what?

I don't care all that much if I buy a 2004 and it has some rattles as long as the dealer can fix it.

Or, is the rattling some kind of manufacturing problem that will be solved in the 2005 models (but I lose some money buying a 2005)?

Thanks guys.

The rattles happen for a variety of reasons. You have to really listen closely as some of the "rattles" aren't actually rattles but rather a rubbing of the window against the seal. Also, some creaking will occur because the dash pieces inevitably rub against each other. This is more a problem when the weather is cooler because there is more space between the dash parts.

I personally have not had a big problem with the rattles. It's something you may notice, but for me, it wasn't a problem.

What is with the rattling issues. A million threads on here about it. I have no rattles in my car, used to, but only cause my little girl liked carrying them around.
I don't think there is one car built in the world that WON'T make a noise at some given time!
