Question for NOVA TSXers
Hey guys,
I was just wondering if you guys have problems with your nav when driving by the Pentagon. I've had three instances in the 2 months I've owned my car where the iPod (CD-C) just stops playing and the Nav beeps at me twice and goes to the map. If I return to the Audio screen, the timer (minutes and seconds) stays frozen at whatever number it was at until I change to another input or turn the car off.
Every time it's happened when I was driving right by the Pentagon (once on I-395 south, once on Washington Blvd., and once on 110). All three times I was driving straight, not in a turn, and did not hit a bump so I know that it wasn't that something moved from impact. Maybe the Pentagon has some weird signal that causes interference?
Anyone else?

Haha, it's not paranoia. It's happened twice with my g/f in the car, and the first time while I was by myself.
Maybe my nav has something wrong with it and it just happens to be a coincidence that it happened by the Pentagon all three times.

I haven't experienced this either, could be my tinfoil hat
. But seriously, no nav problems driving around the Pentagon, this is includes the road around Fashion Center, the parkway leading into Roslyn and 66, and 395N into Washington.

Nogard13, what it could be is the iPod cable falling out of the usa spec unit. I had a problem with this happening a long time ago. I ended up wrapping it in electrical tape to keep the cable securely in the adapter.
I'm talking about the cable that goes from the white usa spec box to the ipod, not to the HU.

I had a bunch of problems with Navi when driving around the Petagon a few months ago, but I think it was just an outdated map. I was driving from the GW parkway to Crystal City every day for a week-long conference, and there was some part of the route real close to the pentagon (within sight) where it would say I was driving way off of any roads for a few minutes, even though I was on a highway.
Don't ask me what road I was actually on though, cause that whole area is just one mysterious tangle of off-ramps to me. I got lost 3 of the 4 days, even with the navigation. It seemed to be just as confused as I was.
