Thanks, I'm getting the synchros replaced for my 2nd and 3rd gear under warranty, so I was just wondering exactly what the funtions were.

Also fdl, I remember your complaints about the notchy 1-2 shifts, so you should check it out as well.

Yeah, it was pretty notchy. I hope it doesn't persist.

TSX problems since the purchase date:

Windshiled rattle --fixed!
Center Console failure --fixed!
2nd+3rd gear synchros --will be fixed!

 

Bummer. Occasionally, it seems like my shifter is unduly ready to pop out of first. Not fully engaged in first place? Synchro problem? My imagination?
