Question about a trade..

theres this guy that got a 2004 ssm tsx with 62000 miles and little mods..intake exhaust lowered. rims..and he wanted to trade for my car acura rsx type s 2003 with 32000 miles with intake header exhaust ecu..i owe 13 grand and he owes 19..hes gunna give me 4 grand ontop of the trade..do u guys think its a good deal?

well, the mods are a wash, they are just about equal. After he gives you the money, assuming you use it to pay off some of the TSX, you will owe about the same amount as you do on the rsx. So basically whats happening is your trading a rsx with 32K miles for a TSX with 62K miles.

I'd be running carfaxes like crazy, and having mechanics check that car out hardcore if i were you

just plug the info into http://www.kbb.com to get the value for each car and then run the numbers. If they come out pretty close then consider the trade-in value at the end of your ownership and the operating costs of each (gas, insurance, expected maintenance etc.). In the end, if the numbers are close, its a question of which one do you want to own.

im pretty sure insurance would be pretty cheaper on a 4dr then a 2dr for my age..im only 19

IMHO your losing out. Your RSX is about the same price. Canada Type S is 33,***, TSX 34,***

So the 30,000km extra are not worth it. Also, your losing performance and fuel economy. You will only gain more luxury and space.
