Question about sport shift
Sure.
In theory, the only issues with break in is that you should try and avoid hard breaking and high reving of the engine. It is also a good idea to avoid driving at the same speed for long period of time.
Practically, little of that matters with today's engines.

Actually, I just about used the sport shift the whole time during break in. I used it to vary the RPMs. Even if I had the cruise on, which I rarely did, I would shift between 4th and 5th every 2 or 3 minutes just to vary the RPM's. It seemed to work really well. Also, if you look at some of the posts about break in, they talk about each time you go out, increasing the RPM's by about 200 a trip, I used the sport shift to get up to the RPM and then shifted. I now have 900 miles on my car and plan on stopping the breakin at 1k. Honestly, I will probably continue to use the Sport Shift since I am use to it and it makes driving a little more fun.
