I don't think so, at least I never have...don't do it! With gas prices now-a-days, just save your money and refill your own tank.

At Pohanka in Virginia they claim they will charge you like 5 bucks a gallon if you don't.

you dont have to fill it up full... you just need to bring it back to the same amount as it left the lot. It seems like common courtesy to do so. Also just use regular to fill up the loaner..no need to put in premium.

Yeah, but my dealer inisted on driving the car, without worrying about fililng up the tank. I had asked him while taking the loaner. Might be due to the cause, tht i was in Colorado, and they do not have a big market there, so just customer service...........
But i dont expect it here in California......

Depends on the dealer....one I went to you had to fill it, another I went to didn't specify anything. It should say on your loaner agreement. Or call before you drop it off so you avoid a penalty.

Acura of North Scottsdale (Arizona) charges $10 buck for the loaner (for non-warranty work) and says this includes unlimited mileage/gas.

ROFL ....
RETURN UNDER "E" wow....i thought i was cheap,
when i was younger, i would even change my wipers with my mom's worn wiper blade on the old minivan, and use up all the windsheild wiper fluid.

so, if everyone filled up the car back to the level it was at initially, how did it drop to half full?

If I was the dealer I would be pissed at people like you.

I wouldnt be surprised if they messed up something on your car intentionally on your next service stop.

I think thats disrespectful to leave it below "E".

I got a 05 TL as a loaner and they told me just that it is above half now so just bring it back somewhere above half and that was it. So i took it right to the gas pump, put $10 in it, and floored every chance i got It has SWEET power but the TSX DEF handles A LOT better especially since i lowered it!

The dealer here in bellevue gives you it with a full tank and asks for it back the same or its $5 dollars a gallon. I bet in a few years that'l be worth it when gas gets to $5+

I just got done using my loaner, and I filled it up with about as much as when I got it. Which was very very low, within about 2 miles the "Low Fuel" light came on.

They didn't check or look when I got it or returned it, so I figure they don't care.

One dealer in town makes no stipulation about filling gas but charges $5 for the loaner. This always bothered me as a matter of principle because it's supposed to be free. Then I went to another dealer who charges nothing for the loaner but asks that I bring the tank back where I got it. Suddenly the $5 loaner charge doesn't seem too bad. Anyhow, I think the answer varies by dealer.

Haha..yeah they made me return it with the same fuel. I remember being at the gas station. I was thinking about putting in regular, but I just couldn't do it! I ended up putting in premium.

I personally think its better to return it the way you got it,

I also think we should act like Acura drivers and not KIA drivers and stop being cheap.

Otherwise, dealers would give you BUS Tokens to take the bus home. !!

I agree, it is not like it is going to be a $100 trip at the pump.
