Question about interior lighting

I was wondering on the front passenger door where the switch is to lock the car from the inside...there is a little picture of a lock. It's where you push the switch up or down to lock or unlock the doors. Well, if you look, there's a little picture of the lock and it's white. I was just wondering if that's suppose to light up like the rest of interior lights. It just seems silly that that one doesn't light up but every other control switch does and now on the 05s the steering wheel controls are going to be lighted too. Well, if anybody knows what i'm talking about and if it lights up and mines just dead, let me know. Thanks in advance.

I think it should be lit up. But I will check to confirm next time if I remember. I just remember noticing that the heat-mirror button doesn't light up. I guess Canadians aren't worth the extra piece of wire and bulb.

I believe it doesn't light up. I agree it should though.

I noticed it last night it, the lock symbol does light up when you have your headlights lights on.
