put the car in reverse with 6spd

i know this might be stupid of me but how do you put the car in reverse? i've never driven a 6speed before, so is there any different from the 5speed? do you have to push the shifter down to go into reverse or is it just like i would do in the 5speed?

There is also a lockout mechanism when the car is moving forward that will prevent you from shifting all the way to the right and into reverse.

Be sure to read the manual when you get your car.

ARE YOU SERIOUS? Maybe you shouldn't drive a manual.

If only people read the manual when they got their cars, we wouldn't have to worry about this kind of thing...

I love that feature since I am still a half a second slow getting it into 6th. Only because I am getting used to that gear's position since it is where I am used to finding reverse.

OK, I am joking. I knew the TSX had forward gears. For the love of god, I have an automatic. There, I confessed....

hey, but dont forget the those times the lockout doesnt let you into reverse, you have to go all the way to the left, then back over to reverse

yea, your friends car had a shift lock that prevents you from going into reverse instead of first gear. The tsx only prevents a mis-shift if you are moving forward. You don't have to push down or hit a button to get it into reverse. But reverse is to the right in the tsx so there is no reason to accidentally shift in reverse when you meant 6th gear because you shouldn't be going into 6th gear from a stop.

There is also a lockout on reverse once you start moving just for safety.

Can we get some pictures?

I thought the "R" on the shift knob was for the "Really fast" gear since it cam last.
