Purchasing TSX In Toronto ????

Im just doing some research on the 2004 TSX. I live in the GTA (Toronto). I just have a few questions.

1. Does anyone know what the dealer cost is for the TSX ?
2. Can anyone recommend a good Acura dealer in the GTA ?
3. What would be a exceptable price to pay for TSX ?

Any help would be appreciated!!!!
THANKS

1/ Its around 32,000.

2/ Umm...not sure, but alot of people say stay away from Acura North Toronto. If you want a really good deal you might want to go to a dealership that is not very busy.

3/ I dont know how well they are selling right now in the GTA. I would say 33k or less would be a good deal. But it all depends if you have a trade in, get accessories, etc.

My 2 cents.

1) 32,016
2) Sherway Acura - ask for Tony Primerano
3) If you get it for under $39k on the road w/ no major accessories, you're doing good. (the wheel locks are already included) maybe ask for the a/w mats + trunk tray to be thrown in...

I paid $39600 on the road but that was an early edition after much bargaining. I agree $39,000 would be a good price and bargain against the on the road price so you are not fooled by extra admin fees etc.
Mine was purchased from Woodbine and at the time, Acura 2000 would not negotiate from list. I believe that depending on the salesperson etc, one dealer is pretty much as good as the other.I believe that Woodbine ended up giving me the best deal as I work close by and they believed they would end up with my service business if I was a happy customer....best to try several and let them know you are shopping around....and see who is willing to offer the best deal. good luck

many people have said that acura sherway (tony), or mark at terrace gate acura in scarborough. i have also heard from alot of people that acura 2000 is good. the magic number seems to be 39k or under if you are lucky. stay away from downtown toronto acura.

peter is also good at Sherway...he has won the best salesman award for the last 30 months or something like that...he seels the most cars at Acura Sherway and is really easy to work with...

he doesn't like to back and forth like other sales people...so give him the price, the final price, that you are willing to pay that is reasonable and he will likely do it for you

Sherway seems like the dealer of Choice in Toronto. I bought from Sterne Acura in Aurora, its a smaller dealership with definitely more personalized service IMHO. If you go to Sterne ask for Allan Fowler.

If you want to go for a road trip, try Casino Acura in Hull QC (across the river from Ottawa). I brought mine in today for its first oil change, and they have an abundance of TSXs on the lot (I counted 15). If supply and demand are at play, you may be able to deal on one.

There are quite a few on the lot at Acura 2000 as well. I saw 2 reds, a few blues a few whites 2 blacks and 1 silver but I'm sure there were quite a few more hiding behind all the RSX's and EL's in the back.

Ask for Gianfranco, good guy.

I second Domn's opinion of Acura 2000.... great customer service, IMHO.

Hi folks - I am new to the forum and I thought I would add my 2 cents worth.

I bought a TSX from Acura 2000 in mid Aug and got a GREAT deal. I live in Ottawa and was more than willing to drive to T.O to get a good deal. After phoning around Acura 2000 called back within minutes with a super offer. When I arrived a few days later (from Ottawa) they honored the price and the deal went very smoothly. This was by far my best car buying experience and I was impressed with how well it went.

Paid 41.9K all in with 3.3K in accessories. Its Red and I love it.

Congrats on your purchase Metal_D!
What accessories did you get?
Weck drove all the way from Windsor to pick-up his TSX from Sherway, so, it is worth the drive to Greater Toronto Area!

Hi, I'm currently lookin at a TSX right now and would like to here more from people with experience dealing with the Sterne dealership. Also if you do not mind telling me the price you paid and how easy was the negotiation with that particular salesman at Sterne. Thank you

I'm thinking of offering in the low 32k range to them. Do you guys think this is a fair offer?

TIA

Thanks for the welcome Visorboy. As I am now a family guy I went with the DVD along with winter mats and the trunk liner. By the way I highly recommend the trunk liner - it fits very nicely and has already seen use.

I know some of you will think I was crazy to purchase the factory DVD especially given the price Acura wants for the unit. Bottom line is that I wanted an integrated / factory look in the front dash and thats what I got along with a very nice unit that includes a MP3 player, 7 inch hi res screen, RCA aux input, and 2 IR headsets for the kids so that we can listen to our own tunes. I have some digital pics if anyone is interested as I had a hard time finding anything on this unit.

By the way nice looking car from what I can tell in your snap shot. Do you have a larger pic of your wheels that you can post or is there a link to a shot ?

Was he any good? He was a complete jerk to me when I was looking for my RSX. Trevor is a nice guy there. There are two problems with sherway however, their Used Car dealer will rip you of (I got quoted 5500 less than by erin mills) and i've heard service stinks.

I recommend Erin Mills, Woodbine (f you want to modify your car) and Acura 2000. Woodbine has a performance shop inside there, got my grillcraft from there. When I went many years back, however, the salesman tried to rip me off - even worse than sherway did. Jon was his name.

Just whatever you do don't go to Acura North T.O. They're known as one of the worst dealers. Period.

Dunno about what price is good for a TSX.

Question DVD pics

Need help ! I tired to post some pics using the attach file function in the reply page but got the following warning back "The file that you have tried to attach is too big. The maximum size is 1 bytes".

I have several good shots of the in-dash unit, the IR headphones, the remote control and the roof mounted display unit (both open and closed). The JPEG images are about 230KB each. How do I post these suckers ?

You need to host them somewhere else and then use the img tag to point to them.

DVD pics

Sorry guys - I'm no whiz when it comes to computers. Any suggestions on where to 'host' the DVD shots. I assume the img thing is simply the internet address that the shots end up getting posted at??
