Problem charging A/C system

Had to replace the condenser when my daughter damaged it in an accident. Vacuumed the system and found no leaks. Started charging the system and could not get past 3oz due to the compressor not engaging. Gauges read 50 ish psi, so it should be working. Jumped the a/c relay to get it started and system took a charge, but I’m pretty sure I over charged it (my scale messed up) because the relief valve let go. Pulled the jumper and shut it off but high and low side pressures never equalized like they should. Started it back up and it’s still not working. My snap on scanner says the low pressure switch circuit is open. Only switch I can find is on the high pressure side. I jumped it and it made no difference. Pulling my hair out hear. Hoping I’ve missed something and someone can point it out.
