power steering fluid

Hi -

I took in '04 TSX for a 30,000 mile maintenace and the dealer recomended a power steering fluid replace..

what is the usual interval for replacing the power steering fluid and how much would it cost usually?

BTW I just went to the dealer about a month ago and I have alittle bit over 30,000 miles and didn't even mention it or recommended it. It just might be the stealership trying to jack you.

There isn't any set schedule for the PS fluid change. The Honda PS fluid is pretty cheap like a few bucks a bottle. The reservoir holds less than .5 qt. The entire systems holds 1.16 qt.

Except that the dealer will charge him 2x over the retail price of the fluid as well as an hour's labor.
