Plugging effect on TPMS

Although I'm sure I am about to get zapped with "search" responses (even though I have been looking for a little while now), I could not find anything about plugging a tire and the effect on the TPMS. I saw something about spraying will ruin it, but I don't know about the plug. I need to get my tire fixed today, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Plugging the tire will have no effect on the TPMS. The spray in tire "sealants" will coat the sensor and are not recommended.

I think spray in tire sealants are almost guaranteed to ruin the sensor.
