Play Station 2 Slim Installation

After a few weeks of trying to decide what car to get, I have orderd my 2005 Acura TSX White - automatic with no navigation.

I have all ready purchased:

- slim playstation 2
- 2 lcd 7" head rests

I plan on mounting the ps2 inside the center console, and run all the power through the power outlet in there.

My question is if anyone has thought or has protected a ps2 in there (shock protection) dont want to have it skipping if i go over a bump or pot hole.

Does anybody have any fabrication suggestions to help with this?

Thanks

Here is the link to the lcd headrests i purchased if you are interested in seeing them. http://www.mp3playerstore.com/player...37/black-b.jpg

I put a ps2 slim in my glove box. It fits perfectly if you notch the bottom of the glove box out for the power wire and the vid/rca cables. You can close the glove box and the controller wires come out right where the handle for the glove is. It works out perfect. Let me see if I can find a pic. I also just used the Nav monitor for my screen and didn't add head rests.

Also, cd's, dvd's and games fit perfectly in the glove like it's a cd rack.

The ps2 is bolted from the left side and the rear. You can see the 2 screw holes when you look at the ps2. No skipping issues at all. The only problem with using the ps2 as a dvd player as well is.....it doesn't start the movie where you left off...

Here is my install of the slim ps2. The foam is now connected better than in the picture with the use of pins and double sided tape. I am possibly getting one made out of fiberglass and carbon fiber for next show season.

I like that idea of it in the glovebox. Does it run fine when the glove box is closed and you are on the highway? as well where did you run the power wires to and how hard would it be for me to run rca cables from the head rests into the glovebox?

as well what part did you use for the powering of the ps2? i ordered the ps2 slim car adapter from http://www.estarland.com/product23280.html and hoping to hard wire this in.

any information on your installation and wiring would be helpfull as i do not want to do this more than once.

I like the idea of foam around the unit.

I want to let you know that I had order 2 lcd 7" sunvisor from that company for my 1994 honda accord and had trouble with tv and took it back. I refund the money and got an Alpine 7" lcd . Make sure that you check on lcd and see if it works good or not. if it is problem then take it back and get different one.

My nav vid converter is Doms unit and I placed it behind the passenger side kick panel.

I use a power inverter powered by the plug in the arm rest. The inverter sits under the passenger seat. It’s a temp thing for shows. I plan on getting a car adapter at some point. Probably not till next show season.
