Pinstripe Vs. No Pinstripes

It was a nice warm day in the Atlanta area today. With a warm car surface I decided to go ahead and pull off the pinstripes that were installed by the dealer . Took me 15 minutes to take off pinstripes and the dealeradvertising stickers on the back of the TSX. Removed the leftover residue w/ bug and tar remover. Then went back and used a sealer and 2 layers of wax over the unprotected areas. Was very happy with the end results.
Here are a few before and after pictures:

Nice. Looks mucho better without the pinstripes. Those things are tacky. The dealer sticker thing is perplexing. I wouldn't accept delivery either.

Nice RBP.

Another Georgian TSX'eR! Congrats on the new car! Hate to go off topic but I might be moving to Peachtree City soon. But I've never been there before. How do you like it there.

Peachtree city? hehe, i've flown into there a few times. We could meet up or somethign and grab a burger. Then you could let me checkout your TSX.

Looks 10x better without the stripe IMHO.

How do you like Atlanta Alin? BTW, yes it does look much much better without the pin stripes! (Trying to stay somewhat on topic here)

Thanks guys!! I was a little worried about messing up the new paint but it worked out great!!

yadfgp - Peachtree City is a great place to raise a family. It actually made the top 10 "best places to live" list. Very quiet community. They call it the Pleasantville of Georgia. The only drawback is their isn't much to do around here, but Atlanta is only a 30 minute drive away.

I took my dealer decal/sticker off the night that I signed the paperwork. I left it there for them to put on the mudflaps and fogs. When I went to pick it up again a new sticker was on the car. My salesman laughed as I pulled it off- he said that many of his customer do the same and pull it off even before they leave the lot. Thankfully it was a very easy sticker to pull off.

I would have made THEM take the second one off while I watched.

You should have seen the look I got when I returned the dealership license plate frame It was pretty nice, heavy duty frame, but I wasn't gonna advertise for them.........

Yeah they tried to put those on and I put a stop to that. The lot attendant who took care of that laughed and told me that he could not blame me for that one.
Besides my dealer has these god awful commercials with this annoying middle-aged chick who chases the dealership owner around "thanking" him for making her purchase such a pleasure. Not exactly the kind of dealer that I would want to advertise....he also sells Hyundai, Chevy, and Toyota- thankfully the Acura dealership is all by themselves....

I agree, looks better without the stripes. I hate dealership stickers or badges, esp. when they're usually not straight.
