UPDATE!!!!!

hey guys i was just subpoenaed to go to court to testify today. they had the driver and the gunmen there in the room. DA and two other lawyers asked me all these questions. no biggie. anyways the DA told me that they made an indirect threat about "taking care of me". as of now it was only a preliminary hearing. if the judge decides that its held to answer then pretty much the trial will begin. they have lots of hard evidence on these guys. even the taxi driver they robbed testified agaisnt them. any more updates ill keep you guys informed. as of now they are fcked

Thanks for the update. I hope they get taken care of, not you. I wouldn't worry about it. 99 out of 100 times those are hollow threats made by frustrated people. Be cautious though!

I wouldn't get my hopes up too high that prison is a horrible place to them. From what I hear from guys that have been locked up themselves, these cholos are "right at home" when they are behind bars. They are able to smuggle in drugs, have more time with the tattoo machine, and have fights as they control the jails. They pretty much get to live the same life (if not easier) since meals are free.

After they "graduate" from jail, they leave with even more tatoos are and even more screwed up -- compliments of our tax dollars and all your efforts prosecuting them.

[/rant]

To the original OP -- I'm glad to hear that nobody was hurt or shot. I've stared down the barrel of a gun before and never want my son to experience that crap ever in his lifetime.

this is why we need federal law for conceal carry. It's easy to make up a scenario, but I'd like to think that because of my experience with firearms, I would have said played "scared" and said "okay okay, here's my wallet, PLEASE don't hurt me" and when I reached back for my wallet, I would have flipped the safety on my Berreta 90-2.

I'll bet if you were in Texas, they would have thought twice about approaching a citizen with a gun, knowing they may also be carrying and willing to use it if their life is put in peril.

Everyone might say "you're lucky you weren't hurt" and it's true, weather or not they are going to pull the trigger over a wallet is one gamble I wouldn't want to take. I wouldn't hesitate to draw my firearm and discharge 17 rounds into these scumbags.

im not an attorney but grew up in a law firm it was my dads and we did live there in the top floor offices below. I don't think you can sue for punitive damages becuase you don't really have any, maybe trama but since these guys are robbing do they really have anything to go after type of thing.

I used to work with cc dc alot. the one dollar is charged by alot of gas stations and then refunded to determine if the card is active has balance etc before the pump turns on and the final charge goes through after pumping.

Best of luck glad it didn't turn south.

thank god your safe man. seriously most time ppl get shot for like 20 dollars. I hope those stupid ppl get what is coming to them. Make sue to the snap out of them. Thats one reason I keep a gun in my car and a machette in the trunk.

alright so the cops traced the car down with the plates i gave them. they caught all the guys. one guy was on patrol so he broke that. i got a subpoena to show up in court to testify agaisnt them. i did so and they went to jail.

they all had to reimburse me the money lost. it was pretty sad that they cant pay me the full amount they had to do it in monthly payments. anyways i hope they ran into bubba in jail or something. thats all that happened so i got reimbused they went to jail

they were charged with armed robbery
