Which Phone for Bluetooth?
Which Phone for Bluetooth?
Now that I have my TSX, I need to get a phone so that I can take advantage of the Bluetooth capabilities. For those who have Cingular, which phone do you use with your car and how well has it worked out for you? Any Bluetooth phones that you guys have bought that you think absolutely suck?
Check out http://www.acura.com/handsfreelink. They have a list of all phones that they've tested with the car.
Others not on the list may work as well. I had an LG VX8300 (Verizon) that wasn't on the list but paired and works fine.

Thanks for the link. Yeah, the list seems a little limited so will go to the Cingular store to see what else they have. I just wasn't sure if you used a phone that wasn't list would work or not but from your experience sounds like I wouldn't have a problem. Beyond Bluetooth, is there any specific feature I need to look for such as "Handsfreelink" compatible?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
If the phone supports a Bluetooth hands-free "profile", then you should be good. If the Cingular store is willing to help, you can always try pairing the phone before they activate it. You should be able to place a call without it activated - it won't go through and you'll get a message from the Cingular system that hte phone isn't activated, but at least you accomplished the test (that is works).
