1) are the TSX seats perforated?
2) y do people prefer them, does it keep the leather cooler?

Yes, they are perforated.

Personally, I like the peforation but doubt it makes a big difference. Some might also argue that perforated seats are harder to clean (I haven't found that to be the case).

I like the leather and seats in the TSX a lot.

1) Yes they're perforated.

2) They're excellent for water drainage.

I think the perforated leather lets the air within the seat out vs regular seats where if you sit your ass down on it, it'll push the leather out and force the air to escape through the seams (which may eventually loosen).

Just a thought. and it looks cooler!

i wonder if the perforated seats allow better body cooling. i've sat in my car a few times when i was burning hot from the summer heat, i seemed to cool off faster, espcially my back. Or could it just be the A/C?

Has anyone had to use their seat warmers? I can't imagine ever needing them unless I lived where it's below freezing.

Don't laugh: yes, I use my seat heaters all the time in FL. They're great for when my back hurts - very fast heat up on HI then nice steady heat on LO.

I recently tried the heated seats in the 7 series ...the thing heated up instantly. No exageration. But i wouldnt expect any less for that kind of money.

The seats are great. The ebony is really hard to condition, all of the product ends up in the holes. I had grey perforated leather in my VW, and it was a lot easier to condition.

When the weather cools off in the winter, you'll find the seat heaters to be a nice feature... yes, even in the Bay Area.
