The color code is supposed to be found on a label located just above the striker on the b pillar with the driver's door open...mine isn't there either.

04-05 codes:

Satin Silver Metallic: NH-623M
Premium White Pearl: NH-624P
Carbon Gray Pearl: NH-658P
Nighthawk Black Pearl: B-92P
Indigo Blue Pearl: B-502P
Arctic Blue Pearl: B-507P
Meteor Silver Metallic B-522M
Milano Red: R-81

Thanks a lot! mine TSX is silver, but not sure it is Satin Sliver or Metero silver. Which one is darker? which one is lighter? where to find pictures of the two different Silver color on the web?
thanks

Meteor silver is light bluish, satin silver is regular silver.

04 TSX => Satin Silver Metallic: NH-623M and you gotta know your VIN number too. Cuz there are 9 variations of NH-623M and the VIN tells you which NH-623M you need for your car

Only true in Canada, where Meteor Silver Metallic was not offered. In the US, both silvers were available. (This is assuming you mean that an 04 is SSM automatically, if you are just imparting info, sorry)

Further question on this topic ... I want to get a little Honda Acura paint pen to touch up a chipped corner of a door ... the code for my 2006 ASM is NH700M ... but do I need to find a paint pen for specifically NH700M-C for the Japanese factory as well? That is, a NH700M from a Honda dealer might be a US color, and a mismatch?

Where to Find the Paint Code Label on Your TSX

There you go, these two posts should answer all questions.
If you're in the US or Canada and need a paint pen, get the one that exactly
matches your color code. Don't make it hard on yourself.
Buy the ones on ebaY, they're the best. Clear on one side, paint on the other.

I've got the brochures for the 2008 TSX from both Canada and the US, and I have an "NH-658P", Canadian car. The US brochure has all that you list, but the Canadian one's got some different information. There are only 6 Canadian colours listed (Milano Red was only available for MY 2004; it didn't make a comeback for 2008). Also, curiously, NH-658P is called "Graphite Pearl" in Canada (the paint code appears in the brochure and I've confirmed it on my door jamb). The paint code is the same, but the name is different (my US brochure does call it CGP). What's also weird is that holding the two (US and Canadian brochures) up together, they are clearly different shades of gray (blame they printer YMMV).

FWIW, our interior colours are listed as black, grey/gray and Ivory (yes, they used both spellings of gr*y; on the same page no less). I believe '08 is the first year that grey/quartz was available in Canada; previously all colours except NBP and MR were ebony/black interior, and NBP was either ebony or parchment, and MR was parchment only (I'm not positive about that one, and I only have CAD 2005, US 2006, CAD 2007 and CAD/US2008 brochures - yes, I was shopping/dreaming for a while). Welcome to Canada; limited exterior colours and almost no choices in interior colour once your exterior is set. And, we get to pay considerably more for those reduced choices.

Well, I'll trust the service manual over brochures any day of the week.

Yes, they list it as Graphite Pearl vs Carbon Gray Pearl, but they're both the
exact same color. The color code is all that matters, not what they name it.

I wonder how the new TSX will price up there...
With the weak US Dollar and all.

I don't agree with you.
I even think there's a chance it's there on your car and you don't even know it.
Try looking again.

I too got my car factory direct to dealer. When it arrived and I saw it for the first
time it was still covered in plastic, the interior was all covered in plastic, they don't
come any newer or more direct than mine.

I looked at mine, and sure enough the label is right where it's supposed to be.
It looks like this:

try looking again.
better yet, take a picture of your door jam and post it.

My 2007 has the same label MMsTSX illustrates above. Oh, maybe not the EXACT same label.
