Owner of new 07 TSX 6mt Navi

Just picked up a new 07 blk/blk TSX 6 mt w/navi. Loving the car so far. Got it for 27,200 out the door. And $150 because they put swirl marks on it.

The car came with 40 miles on it. Is this normal for a new car? The dealer said it was normal because they drive the car after assembly to make sure everything is ok. I saw the car wraped up in all the plastic the day before delivery. Am i just being paranoid? Did anyone have this much mileage on their new TSX?

Anyhow the car is great besides the aluminum interior.

just enjoy it. my 06 MR/eb 6spd w nav, bought new 11/17/06, had 138 miles on it. the dealer i bought it from had to get it from another dealer. no worries. it now has 28,000 miles and i am loving it-great cars. you did get it for an excellant price if that included taxes and other fees.

40 Miles? Bah, take it back. When I bought my 1987 Jeep off the prep lot (not even unwrapped), it had 3 miles on it.

just so you know....40 miles is excessive and your dealer is a snake for telling you that it is normal. my car had 4 miles on it...

that many miles also probably means it was used for test drives.

Mine had 31 miles on it but still had the white protection on it so i assume its just from moving them on and off the truck and stuff like that. they could have just been passed around different dealerships. I wouldn't be too concerned with it however, its reason enough to fight for a few extra dollars to be taken off the price

Wow what was the price OTD for that puppy? I like to feel bad about my purchases. My car had 23 Miles when i picked it up i was paranoid for the first couple of miles, but then i just relaxed and enjoyed the car.

congratulations. (keep your doors closed when you park)

For a new car, 40 miles is kinda excessive. I wouldn't make a big deal of it but it seems too much. I bought my other car new with only 8 miles on it.

My new 2007 had 13 miles when purchased. You should be fine with 40 miles being on it.

What was the sale price of just the car before tax, title, license, doc fees, etc?

I Beleive The 3 Grand Off The Sticker Price More Than Makes Up For The Few Extra Miles On The Car....... 50 Miles Is Nothing...., Most People Do That In One Day. Plus They Only Have Older / More Responsible Workers Driving Those Cars From Dealer To Dealer....., Because It Wouldnt Be In Their Best Interest To Have Something Bad Happen While In Route To A Sale......

I suppose there could be any number of reasons for 30 miles on the car, but telling you that Acura drives ALL their cars that far to "test them" is just NOT true. That being said, I would not worry about a few miles on the car if you can get a good price, and I would say your deal was excellent. I had 63 miles on my '04 but I knew that was because it was the dealer's demo car. It was the one they brought out for me to test drive. It also just happened to be the color I wanted - Milano Red - and had the front, side and rear skirts/flairs already. I tested it myself for several of those 63 miles, and then bought it immediately. No regrets and have loved it for 50K miles since.

40 miles is excessive and most likely used for test drives (where people will redline it while the engine is still cold and new where the piston seals haven't properly seated yet, slam on the brakes while they are not bedded yet increasing the chance of warping the rotors).

But other than that, you should be fine. Enjoy

276 miles on delivery - 05/Blk/blk/6sp/Navi! I am sure it was test driven quite a bit. However, no problems yet with 40K miles. Clutch and brakes are in great shape so far. No oil consumption whatsoever. I wouldn't worry about 30 or 40 miles being on the car on delivery! I had nearly 10x that!!!

My brand new TSX had a bit more then 40 miles. It actually worked for my advantage and helped me seal the deal.
Dealers sometimes are in need for certain color/model so they exchange and buy cars from each other and the way they transport those cars is by driving them.
You should look at the price sticker on your car and see if the receiving dealer is the same dealer you bought the car from. If not then your car might have been exchanged between dealers and that will explain the 40 miles.

Nice deal, but I would still prefer Fresh off the lot cars.

Mine had 4 miles on it, and had to be prepped to unmask all the tape and the protective coverings.

Going car shopping on a sunny day is helpful too so you can spot any swirls.

I would not accept any other substitute.

Yeah, i dont care about the 40 miles as long as the car doesnt burn oil and lasts me 8 years. Although it does make me paranoid. The car runs great except in reverse it makes a weird sound. \

OK so 27,200 wasn't the out the door cost. Makes more sense now.

It was everything out the dealer's door. I believe tax is paid in most states when you register the car.

I live in NC and bought my tsx in PA. i did not pay any tax or reg. fees to the dealer. When i reg. it in NC i then paid those fees. If i lived in Pa the Pa dealer would have taken care of all that. same would go for if i bought the car in NC. I have been corrected when i say what my OTD price is. (that would include taxes and all that) i am still waiting to know what it is called.
