Overloaded?

Hey hey, I think i might have overloaded my tsx and shot the shocks or somthing. Drove from Chicago to Milwaukee (about 80-90 miles) fully loaded (5 people Full trunk with clothes and bags). The car looked like it was lowered about 2 inches with all the junk in there. Now we had to drive about 1 1/2 - 2 hours on the highway to get home. After unloading and driving the next day, everything seemed to be a little bumpier, and the car seemed to have a little bit more body roll. Now i dont know if im imagining this or if somthing is wrong or what. So my question is, could I have messed up my car, should I get it checked out? or am i just smoking crack and paranoid? PS. I still got pretty good mileage.

The manual says a load capacity of 850kg / 1870lbs. Do you think you exceeded that weight? If so, man you must have had fat people as hell in there, lol!

I think you are paranoid or had bricks in your trunk. I drove 900 miles with 5 people and a packed trunk. The trunk was so full it took me an hour and a half positioning everything so I could use every inch of trunk space. The car did get lowered by about 2 inches and was a little slower with everything in there. But that was 6 months ago and the car was fine after that and is fine now.

The manual says the load limit is 850 lbs, not kg. (p.194). I was astonished that it's so low.

850 lbs is correct. Same as my Accord. I was also shocked to learn how low the "limit" was. So, according to Honda, I can't take myself and three of my friends for a ride? That's ridiculous.

I went back and checked the manual for my Civic. 850 lbs also. And that's a 2300 lb car with 1.5L engine. Somethin' ain't right... Is that just the Honda cover yer arse standard load limit?

Oops, true?? I was sure they had it in metric. Man 850lbs is not a very large load!!

I would guess it's because of the tires. The lower the profile/larger the rim the less load capacity they have. You oculd put some 16s with taller tires on if load capacity is that important to you
