Question Option Questions

Hey Guys, picked up my 06 TSX MT on Friday, WOW, what a nice feeling. My salesman asked if I wanted the tire/wheel warranty for $499 that covers all road hazards to all four tires and wheels for 5 years. Do you guys think this is worth it? I plan on keeping the stockies for at least 2 years (tires anyway.) Wheels for 3-5 years.

Thoughts?

Congrats on the car, JShamoon, I'm sure you'll love it. I think the general consensus around here is that things like tire/wheel warranties are for the birds, and do little more than pad dealer profits.

Enjoy your car and let us know how you like it.

Thank you, just reaffirming my initial feeling.

p.s., I drove my GSR this afternoon for the first time since I picked up the TSX, OH MY, the clutch felt like tungsten = heavy = DAMN. LOL.

$499???? holy crap!
Even for brand new tires the road hazard protection is only $40 for all 4 tires on tirerack.com
Then $459 for the other 4???? i'd pass really quick.

They offered that to me for 299. I took it because they told me that if I damaged even aftermarket wheels they'd replace the wheels with whatever was damaged. There are a lot of potholes around where I work cause of all the construction that's going on, so I felt it was a small price to pay for peace of mind.
