I just put down a deposit for a CG/Ebony/6MT/Navi. The deal is going to be $28000 plus tax and license. Is this a good deal? The dealer said that the car is not going to be in til mid March because they had just placed the order for my car, and the build day is going to be sometime in February. Is this a really long wait for the car?

 

Yes, it's quite a long wait actually.

 

I just ordered the exact same car. I got it for $27,650. They are installing a cargo net for $75 and fogs for $502 and throwing in a cargo tray for free. They told me that they would have to order the car but would check for one in all of Florida, and southern Alabama and Georgia. If they could find one (or a silver one, my second choice) they would see if they could dealer trade for one. If I do have to wait for the one they ordered, they told me that it wouldn't be until March also. It sure is a long time!

 

Sorry Viet but I just bought a CG/Quartz/6MT/Navi a month ago in Orange County . It's too long to wait (IMHO). Call Northern California .... see if they have the car you want

 

I just picked up a MR/parch/auto/nav 05 TSX at Power Acura in Torrance for $27,700 + TTL. This included all weather trunk tray, mud guards and wheel locks. Total OTD price was $30,273. It took virtually no negotiating at all and this was for a car that was not on the dealer's lot. They had to trade w/ an Acura dealer in San Diego. This took only about 2 minutes of negotiating over the telephone. I had the salesperson e-mail me confirmation of the full and final deal w/ a breakdown of all fees and I picked up the car later that evening.

You should see if the dealer can trade to get the car you want now. CG should be easier to get than MR.

 

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys. They said that the 6MT and CG were very rare and would be really hard to trade with another dealer. So I guess I have to wait til March then.

 

there wrong...thats like the easiest color to find in 6MT. oh if you don't want navi that bad i know a dealer that has a CG/6MT right now. let me know.

Which dealer are you dealing with? Since you're in Los Angeles, you should try the internet sales mgr David Kim at Power Acura in Torrance. He seems very motivated and worked diligently to track down and trade for a red TSX for me. CG, even with 6 speed, is easy to find.

 

In the whole state of Florida there are still only a couple that are 6 spds. I couldn't find any with the Navi.

 

Hey JW...i've been looking for one in the Tampa area up to 3 hours away with no luck. What colors have you found in the 6mt w/o the navi? I'm thinking i'll wait until after the new year when there is more inventory on the lots.

Go to another dealer. And make it known to that dealer thats what your going to do when you go back to get your deposit. Watch how fast he just happens to "find" one.

The only two 6spd I have seen have been white. I haven't seen any 6spds with nav. Regal (in Lakeland) has a white 6spd with out navi on there lot. Ask for Billy Ray, he is a no BS salesman as far as I can tell.

 

i think santa monica acura has the car you want, and it's currently in transit, meaning should be arriving in a week. i decided to go non-navi, and picked mine up yesterday. hope this helps.
