Hey guys don't forget that a good credit score counts as well in addition to age, driving record, and marital status

Damn $4,000 is a lot of money for insurance. I pay almost $2700 over 10 months since I got my car, but I have NO tickets (knock on wood) and one silly rear end collision thats all. What insurance do u have? Anyone also know of cheapers rates for full coverage??

How much of a deductable are you guys asking for? Cheesh, I wouldn't drive period if I had to pay $3000 alone in insurance. Before I got married (and older) I had $1000 deductable and that kept rates under control just fine- about $1200/year for a 3000GT and crotch rocket bike.

I wasn't going to say anything, but since the thread has already been resurrected: You're right. The TSX isn't anything special. But YOU are special:

1. 22 years old.
2. 3 tickets (this is the main problem).
3. Live in a major metro area (LA).

What were you expecting?

Well up here you can' t really mess to much with the deductibles. They are to many crazy people up this way. So I keep my ded at 500.00. Just I can be safe

I'm 25, no tickets, no wrecks, and I pay $180/month for my TSX and '95 Prelude VTEC together. I was expecting my rate to go down when I turned 25 but no such luck. Geico did tell me that if I took an online defensive driving course that it would lower my rate by $200/year.

By the way, I have $1000 deductibles because any damage under that would not be worth claiming on your insurance (you think your rates are bad now!!!!).

Hey, no complaining from you. I'm 22, SF bay area, no tickets. My agent (State Farm)'s quoting me $3200 per year, almost as much as you. But remember I have no tickets, no accidents, and I qualify for the good student discount.

Yet another reason to start out with some used beater. When the insurance on whatever you drive starts to approach the monthly payments to buy the same car there's something very wrong.
