But seriously, people gotta learn how to NOT talk on the phone and drive. Its too dangerous, you are risking your own life, and others!!

You could've hit your garage door, causing your house to fall, and start a chain reaction around the neighbourhood!! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!

thanks much for those for the support and for the others that are still curious on what else to pick on~heres a little info on this busy day.

right after a class in the afternoon i had to go home and print out my official papers for the school records office and go get copies and rush back to school to turn in the papers before the office closed and my friend also was waiting for me at the library. and when i was backing out of the garage to go to school my grandma called me to tell me about that i had to go pick up my sister from the academy. and we hung up. but i forgot to ask what time i had to go get her, so i tried calling back and i was juss rushing and thats when i grinded my gears. i was also Madd-multi-tasking as i was putting some of my moms business papers into envelops for her to drop it off at the post office.
oh yea~ busy day..but i managed to get everything done. phew~ well i dunno if everyone will call this Busy but it was juss a matter of time cuss my friend was waiting, my sisters academy was ending, school was closing, and post office was also closing. ugh..my sister needs to start driving..haha (shes 14)

being busy does not justify doing careless things while driving. talking on a cell phone is a pretty big offense in my book.

kid made a mistake though, and he'll learn from it. no reason to be hard on him. no damage done to the car.

4 years, 60,000+ miles driving stick, never once grinded.

I did pull it out of first without clutching in once.

And I accidentally started in 3rd once when I was really busy and nervous (talking on the phone, first date with gf.

I haven't tried it lately, but Honda transmissions used to always be very tolerant of this. My Integra would let you pull it out of gear without the clutch on without any problem.

There is nothing wrong with disengaging a gear without clutching, unless under load. You can shift gears without the use of the clutch if you rev-match...

Kids, use the Handsfree Link when in the car, and better yet, don't spend your time talking on the phone... Pay attention to what's around you, and enjoy the drive!
