OLD pads bed-in?

I know how to bedding-in NEW pads, but I just got a set of used Hawk HPS pads from member here. So the question is:
Do I need to resurface rotors and 'clean' the pads surface (by using what?) before bedding-in?

OK, the rotor need to be resurfaced. How about the old pads? should I also clean them?

How many miles do the used pads have on them?

When you perform the bed-in procedure, the heat generated will clean the surface of the pad.

"The pads were on my car for 15K miles (majority of the miles were racked up from traveling for work - a lot of highway miles) and have a good amount of life left."

for the amount of money you'll spend on resurfacing the OEM rotors, you should go with a better OE replacement (brembo blanks, centric rotors).

I was running OEM rotors with these HPS's and they weren't performing as well as they should. I would suggest getting better rotors.

Oh, I just checked centric rotor, seems not pricey compared with brembo. Are these good choice compared with brembo blanks?

check placeforbrakes.com, and give them a call because they don't have them on their site yet. I got front and rears for much less than tirerack.com. From what I saw, they compare a lot better than brembos, because they have the coating around the hubs, where the brembos have a big problem with rusting.

My only complaint is that the front rotors are 1cm bigger than the stock rotors and the brake calipers don't meet the hub. So there's a ring of rust that develops when it rains.

Centric is part of the same company as Rotora and Stoptech, fyi.

it's so kind of you!
I just send them email to see if they still have Centric rotors?
