Odometer Readings

Odometer Readings
I did a search on ODOMETER and found some interesting threads regarding the mph inaccuracies but my question has to do with tire size and mileage.
I just got a TSX 06 (new) with 18" wheels and low profile tires. The miles driven (odometer) seems to be off and I was curious if larger radius wheels affect the mileage. If so this would also affect warranties and maintenance schedules. Is this something I should worry about?
I drive about 26K to 30K miles a year and would like my warranties to last as long as they can.
Thanks!

I will have to get that info tomorrow. I am at school (a teacher) and drove my old honda accord tonight. Just found this forum and realized after posting that I probably should have waited to get the tire size and brand. Thanks for the reply.

You will have to get it recalibrated.

Thanks everyone for the comments.
The tires are Yokoham 235/40ZR18 95W
The wheels are the Acura 18" high performance chrome look alloy wheels"
My guess is that the overall diameter might be close to the 17" stock wheel and tires. Am I close?

The wheels won't be a problem, but your tire size is off.
the correct size for 18" wheels, assuming you want to go wider at 235 would be a 235/45R18.
The circumference of your current tires is 90.5% of your OEM's, which means that your speed and odo will be reading higher to the tune of close to 10%.
with the 235/45R18, you would be within 0.3% of original specs, which is nothing...

Thanks for the catch.... i did the calculation in metric and didn't properly convert the 17" and 18" values to millimeters properly ... Redoing the calculations correctly (and checking the table), you have the correct dimension tires, and have nothing to worry about.
DanMartin, this is a great table! thanks for putting that together for us all!
