Not an ashtray????

What is the logic of that "not an ashtray?" It's not a vacuum cleaner either.
Couldn't Acura/Honda found a better way to use that space?

It's a lipstick holder. But they couldn't call it that because then the men would think that the TSX was a girl's car.

It could be an ashtray if it wasn't felt lined. I put my cell phone there, or toss spare change.

There's sale going on, you can turn it to an ashtray for $85 before shipping!

Just don't put your "stash" in there! Felt makes your "good green" taste like felt.
At least thats what a friend told me.......

I use it to store spare change too but it's a PITA to take the change out when it gets filled. I just did this 2 days ago and it took a few minutes to keep scooping the change out.

I like storing my change in an ashtray better because you can just lift the damn thing out to bring it in the house when it's time to empty it into the "master" change container.

It's only for pennies in my car. All the other change has a place in the arm rest.

I use it for storing all of my spare keys that I don't want to hang off of the car key. The lining of the tray prevents the keys from sliding around during hard cornering. Not that any of us TSX drivers would ever do such a thing.

"not an ashtray" in the smae sort of way as "coffee is hot"

i'm sure had it not say not an ashtray, some moron would have used it as an ashtray and set his car on fire already.

Same here. "Not an ashtray"? I say "Is an ashtray", now how you gonna stop me? I lined it with foil and I put my cigar in there and it makes it very easy to empty -- perfect location. Not an ashtray . . .

They offer it as an option. Guess they figured out that they could make more money charging for it.

I assume it's a "politically correct move" to discourage smoking.

BTW, I did find a use for the not an ashtray. I put onion dip in it, and the bag of Ruffles potato chips in the center console space. Very convenient.

I guess it so that people would notice the material and realize your not supposed to put your cigarettes in there.

Somebody once made a good point, but I forget who it was. Many of us don't like the big "not an ashtray" written on the tray and the color of the material. But if Honda didn't write that on there and the material was black, how many people do you think would be putting out their cigarettes in that tray?
