Question Non-Navi -- Customized Settings? Error?

I have been reading the owners manual (dork) -- and I got to the section about customizing settings (ie: lights dimming, headlight turn-off, wipers etc). The manual says to unlock the doors with the transmissor, turn the key to "on" (setting II) and hold the "INFO" button for a few seconds -- in theory, this should bring up a menu to customize some of the above mentioned settings.

However -- when I hold the "INFO" button it says something along the lines of "driver unknown" -- sort of like I had unlocked the doors with the key and not the transmittor. But, I swear I used transmittor # 1 -- and I tried it more than once.

Anyone else ever had this problem? Might I need to get the computer reset at the dealer or something?

You need to enable your remote first by pressing both the lock and unlock at the same time. You will see the LED blinks.

You than unlock the door with the remote, put the key in and turn to II. You should see the MID shows Welcome Driver 1 or (2). Now you can customize settings for each driver.
