![Question](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I heard somewhere that you cannot use metallic tint on a TSX with Nav, because the tint on the back window interfers with the Navigation antena???Is there any truth to this, and if so, what type of tint is metallic? All of them? Mirror tint?...I'm confused...HELP!!!

The metal in the tint interferes with the nav AND radio antennae since they are integrated in the back window.

does this mean you just cannot use the reflective (mirror-type) tinting? if that's the case.. no biggie.
Or, is even the regular tinting not permissable, tinting that simply darkens the glass (besides giving UV/heat reduction)???
Most quality tints you get are metallic tints.
if so, that's troubling news for this prospective buyer.

"Nav antenna is in rear window" <----- Bullshit
I have the nav, got metallic tint and I have no problems.
If you have a silver tsx, a platinum tint looks f*ing TITS! I'll post some pics soon.

hey phirenze, that's exactly what I wanted, but I heard it'll cause problems.....one of them being that the antena is very sensitive to touch when they put the tint on...but, that leads me to another canumdrum (or however you speel it).............why would the dealership put tints on then?......oh and larchmont, I did it for you......much love.......

No seriously, the nav/radio antenna is in the rear window. The tint will interfere with your reception, but won't cut it off completely. Glad to hear yours still works.
