If you're lucky, you won't get hassled by the police. You'll probably get pulled over and get a fix-it ticket. Unfortunately, my friend who lives a street down from me got pulled over 3 times by the same cop about the front plate.

I'm keeping mine on.

you would get a $10 fix it ticket i believe. correct me if im not right guys.

but usually cops won't notice or pull you over. unless they have nothing better to do but sit in their car and watch all the cars for their plates....

i haven't had mine on for over 2 months in socal and no problems yet...

knock on wood

Iv been driving without my license plate for about 4 years, i got 1 ticket but i got pulled over for speeding and the cop said "since you have a clean record ill just give you a ticket for no front license plate" so i was actually happy i did not have it on the car.

I got a warning at Regan national airport once, the cops their are dicks though. Right now i put it in the front window, i bent it a little to prevent rattling

I took mine off and it looks way better i think, as far as the getting into some trouble with the police....that depends on the state youre in I guess and how much of a dick the cop is. I got pulled over about a month ago for speeding ad I didnt have my front plate but the cop didnt care. I live in Texas and my dad hasnt had a front plate on his car ever since I can remember and he hasnt gotten a ticket or anything yet.

I haven't had mine on for over 2 years and haven't ever been hassled about it. If you're going to be going on a road trip, throw it on. Otherwise, I doubt you'll be pulled over.

Because you have rims and lowered I think you will get pulled if late at night like 2-3am. I never got pullled in OC/Irvine area for the first 3 years I bought the car. Then I put the intake in and got pulled over for the sound that same day. Then put wheels and coilovers on and got pulled over that week. No tickets for either, just checking if I was drunk.

The intake.. and they didn't check anything about that?!? Cuz i have the injen's, and i believe its still a illegal thing in cali.
Getting a ticket for not having a LICENSE should be small. but having a illegal thing(intake) should be more serious...as in cost more money for that ticket. And that's what i m scared of.

I want to leave my front plate off but there is a damn hole on the bumper. Why do some dealer like to do that when they install the front plate bracket?

I live in so cal too, with pwp. My car has been plateless since it first got home. from my experience in so cal, i got 3 tickets for not having a front plate. mine were 35 each. my friend however, got a ticket for not having a front plate during a traffic check and it was over a hundred, but it was a fix it, so she paid about 50?

If you don't have a front plate, DO NOT GO TO LOS ANGELES. Even in private lots they can give tickets. They are up the butt about that in downtown so watch out.

I've had mine off since I put on the clear shield about a year ago. I did get one ticket while parked in the heart of downtown L.A., so beware! Also, it wasn't $10 but $50. But otherwise, where I am in East San Gabriel Valley, have never gotten tagged.

This is a sore subject with me. I have been running no front plate in IL for about 6 months and I have been pulled over about 5 times because of it. The last two times were in the same month. Every time I was able to talk my way out of it except for the last time in which I received a compliance ticket. I am just tired of the hassle of getting stopped all the damn time. It is always late night at about 1 am or later that I get pulled over after work, never in the day.

I know, mine too. I want to do one of those bracket mods that was posted in a thread somewhere on here, but I've got that hole. I thought about filling it, and touching it up, or putting one of those license plate plugs in it. i dunno

If a modification is CARB certified then its legal and you shouldn't have any problems with it. I don't know if Injen is CARB certified, I know that the Comptech Icebox (for instance) is CARB certified.

If you go to LAX, you'll automatically get pulled over. They scan your front plates as you enter. Some areas in so cali are strict....especially the areas that have alot of those photo-enforced intersections.

When my dad worked at LAPD, they were circulating a memo to make sure their employees let everyone they know to put their front plates on. They're more strict now than before.

And yes, your car can be ticketed while it's parked.

I've had mine off since getting the car in March without an issue. I had no front plate on my previous car for years and only got a verbal warning once while I was going through a DUI checkpoint.

Avoiding those would be a good move, but never pull a U-turn when you see one! My wife did that once when she saw all the lights and thought it was an accident scene - they chased her down pretty fast, and assumed she was drunk!

I've had the front plate on my Civic off since I bought the car in '01, only one fix-it ticket so far ($20)....the cop even said it looked better without the plate AS he was writing the ticket...go figure

In Ohio, on your third fix-it ticket for the same item your car can be impounded...this includes window tint...just FYI

could always just relocate as an option. in my opinion, no plate is best. but moving it off the front bumper looks better than stock location, i think

How'd you end up relocating it to that lower location?

I just put the front plate back ON (after 2.5 years with no problems) because I was going on a long road trip....

I always thought the stock location blew ass and thought it would look much better about 4 inches lower on the bumper. Looks like I was right.

Then again...why the hell do we need front plates? Especially when other states don't require them...I'm in a state where you need the front plates but you don't even put tabs on them...it just kills the look of the TSX.
