I've been lurking for a couple months and just recently registered. I've been driving only Hondas and Acuras since I started driving. I am looking to purchase a new car in the next few months and am seriously leaning toward the TSX. I've driven the A4 2.0 Quattro, Accord V6 and the TSX. I like the power of the Accord, but don't care for the styling. I like everything about the TSX, but would like more power. If I go with the TSX, what are some of the first engine mods that I should look into to get more power?
Have you looked into the IS250 that is one hot car. The interior is gorgeous on that car very well made.
I am still deciding on the Lexus IS250 or TSX as well but everytime I sit in a IS250 I want it right away!!

The first thing you should do is search the forum. Many n00bs come here to ask that same question and it has been answered several times. I'm feeling generous this morning so start out with doing some searches for injen or K&N intakes, Hondata, header (comptech or DC). Assuming you don't just go balls out and get the supercharger.

It also depends on how much you want to spend on the upgrades vs. just buying a faster/more expensive car.
Intake = $150-$250
Hondata = $600
Header = $300-$500
Supercharger = $4,000

A friend of mine got a 6MT IS250, permium package, 18 inch wheels for $28,700 before tax.

This is sage advice.

A Lexus dealer definitely tried rippin' a unstitchable hole in my pocket by giving me a price of like 32k for practically nothing in it.

It's no faster than the TSX, and the handling isn't as responsive. The IS350 would be fun if it came with a stick.

i have two cousins that each have an IS250 and i think its more luxury than sportiness since the redesign.
plus 34k with nothing? no navi, no xm!? c'mon!!! i just think its overly expensive.

I still don't understand why some people treat it like it's the holy grail of sport sedans...
A friend of mine was torn between the IS250 and the TL so we hit the auto show in NYC last month. We were both shocked to see how small the interior is on the IS250. He is 6'4 so he was cramped for sure. But I am 5'10, 180 and I felt claustrophobic in there.
The outside is beautiful but the inside sux IMO. Layout was ok but I would not spend that much on a sport/lux car that makes me feel like I am in a small box.
Not that the TSX is the grand canyon of interior room, but definately feels bigger than the IS. TL was even bigger and nicest all around.
