$37,500 - 15% taxes = $5,625 which means they sold him the car for $31,875.

I'd have to doubt they'd go that low. Or the TSX is selling very, very poorly in Canada.

I'm sure invoice was around $32,500 although I may be off.

I paid just under $39,000 so I think $37,500 is a little too low.

It make me feel better! from what I researched from this board that it seems ~$39000 is the fair value so I got it at $38900 and $1000 on 7yr extended warranty is a fair deal.

I bought my TSX in May '04. I traded in my 98 Corolla LE with 100k on it (they gave me $8000! I was expecting something like $5000.) and I paid $29 010 cash to bring it home. So...in total I paid $37010!!! My parents knew the sales manager so we got a kick ass deal. So...I guess $37500 isn't impossible. The invoice price on the TSX is just below $32000. He got it at invoice price.

Dealer price in Canada is $31,204, not including the 2% hold back, so a dealer will tell you $31,828 is invoice. That's why so many get the car for around $33,500 (Freight & PDI incl.)...Dealer's look to make around $2k.

Yes, I paid the $40 to get the dealer invoice online, it was worth it!

I got quoted by 2 brokers and huggling around with 4 dealers for 2 weeks and they still insist to sell the car for $39000 on the road. :sqnteek: I thought I got a good deal for $38800 and $350 off on 7yr extended warranty from a Honda dealer but now I feel depress....

33500 + 15% tax = $38525. You're not far off with $38800...

That might actually not be impossible if he or she is an employee of Honda Canada. My friend's mom works for Honda Canada of Finance and he got his TSX on the road for $31000.

Commodity tax rate in BC is 7.5%. So it's almost the same as you boys in Ontario.
