Hello all:

Figured I'd introduce myself, as I'm new to the board. I'm from torontointegras.com, and sadly my GS-R was stolen on Wednesday morning. Since I probably won't see her again, I started to research a "new" car. Oddly, one is the TSX even though I swore that I wouldn't get another Honda. But after doing some research the TSX is convincing me more and more to stay within that family.

However, I do have a few questions, regarding the TSX:

1. Was/Is the A-Spec package available in Canada or was/is it a US-only option? I'm aware that I can get the skirt package and the rims, but what about the suspension? I can't recall seeing this available at my dealer or anywhere else in Canada.

2. Are there any OEM rear sway bar upgrades, such as the Accord Type-R, available for the TSX? I've already seen there are aftermarket upgrades such as the Comptech bar, however, since I am an OEM whore, i was curious to know if anyone here was able to obtain an OEM rear sway bar upgrade. Also, have there been any issues regarding sub-frame tear out with respect to the thicker rear sway?

3. Are there any member that autocross their TSX's? I was addicted to that with my Teg and I'm hoping to continue with it.

Hopefully that wasn't too involved, . Any help and/or insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

2- The comptech and progress sway bar are your best bet for the sway bar. The OEM's are not going to be as thick. I might be wrong but I think the ITR sway bar was pretty thick if you can dig one of those up. Otherwise aftermarket is the best route.

1. I believe so.

2. If there is a larger OEM say bar for the CL7-8-9, it has to be already on the TSX. The TSX's suspension settings are even more aggressive than the Euro-R's.

If you want improvement, you will have to look for aftermarket. And I don't believe sway bars from DC chassis will fit, BTW.

3. Yes. Check out Racing & Competition section, or do a search in that section, there are a few people who do some autox.

And finally, welcome to AZ!

Yes to question #1 - go to Acura.ca and configure a TSX - you'll the A-Spec package as an option (albeit a pricey one).

^ Thanks, I just noticed that now. And from what I've read, a lot of people here like the handling of it. Hmm, I'm convinced even more now, lol.

As for the ITR rear sway, I'm certain it won't fit. But thanks for the info on the Comptech and Progress. I will definitly look into those.

I am from Toronto too. I used to have a Prelude too and before I got the TSX, I told myself I need some change but end up only TSX can make me smile. Once you love how Honda drive, you won't satisfy with others.

1, I have a-spec suspension on my car but I ordered it from ebay as well as my oem bodykit. If you are looking for a slam look, the a-spec suspension is the best bang for the buck. It improve the handling as well as the ride on my car. I paid $750US shipped from US and paid $120 Cdn to install it by a local shop. For sure it will be way more cheaper than order it from your local dealer.

2, I have comptech rear swaybar and also very happy with it. Sub-frame tear out! I thought it will happen on BMW? I only worry it on my BMW but never worry it on my Honda.
