New introduction

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and I just got an 2004 Black TSX 6spd. I'm in Toronto, so if there are local meets, I'd like to come to one.

I'm looking for an A spec lip kit so if anyone knows where I could get one great

Here are a few pics of the car.... yup it's stock cuz I just got it.

Congrats and welcome aboard.

For upcoming meets keep an eye on the AcuraZine Meets Subforum in Off Topic. The planning goes on in there. Once the meet is official then I update the meets thread here in the TSX Forum.

Congrats and Welcome.

And thanks for confirming how little my 04 6MT is now worth.

(He said he paid $15xxx in another thread)

Is 60% depreciation normal for almost 5 years?

Yes.

You should see how bad the residuals on American domestics are after 5 years. Absolutely pitiful, honestly. 40% residual value at 60 months is not bad, honestly.

Beats me.

Wait, didn't you get the 6-speed used?

Even I've been looking at used cars lately and I still can't find one that has everything I want. I'm starting to think I should just wait out my lease at this point and see what there is on the market in 2 years...

Well ya but it was pretty much a direct swap of my bought new AT so I'm not sure that counts.

I still took the depreciation hit.

Thanks guys.

Ya, it depreciates pretty quickly. I bought my first car brand new and that was my last brand new car. From now on it's used all the time.

Just letting you know it was listed at $17 900. I'm just really good at negotiating price.

Just for comparisons sake, the Q45 has a 60 month residual projected around 25%, MB ML350 is around 31%, and the Audi A6 is around 30% so you're not doing too poorly by comparison.

Definitely shows you which cars you should always just buy used.

Alright, congrats to Corollin. Back on topic now.

If you need lip kits, Acura in Markham has a mismatched lip kits at drastically reduced prices. If the paints looking a little rough, you need to give me a call in the summer!

Welcome. I would try the dealer. It would be your best bet. It might be alittle pricey, but it brand spanking new. I got mine at the dealer, but I work there.
