new car interest rates?

Just curious to know what of kind of interest rate deals TSX buyer have been getting in the last several months. Actually, if you bought your car in the last 6 months go ahead and post the rate and term you got -- and if the loan was with AHFC (meaning the dealer). Thanks...

I won't actually be getting my loan for another month or so, but when I checked into it a few weeks ago, I was quoted 5.9% for 60 months by my credit union, 6.09 - 6.49% by a local bank for 60 months, depending on credit score, and a whopping 7.99% by Key Bank, with A Tier credit.

I got 6%, 60 month with captial one auto finance. I think my credit union might be able to get as low as 5.1% but I haven't applied with them yet.

Ouch! That's a full 2% higher than the 3.9% I got two years ago from AHFC. The times, they are a changin'.

Too bad, 'cause we are in the process of leaving one of the best car-buying eras ever.

Top tier credit... I was offered 5.75% by my credit union and 6.99% by AHFC. I just ordered so haven't finalized anything yet. Here's to hoping for some kind of promotion in February! What do you think my chances are?

60 months by the way. 2006 MT w/ navi

Thanks! I am a member but forgot about them. Their 36 month loan is 5.14% -- and for Executive members it's .10% lower!

There is no doubt that rates across the board (cars, mortgages, etc) have risen since their lows in 2005 (actual lows may have been in 2004). Anyway, I don't see rates going that low again - at least anytime in the near future. I saw 4.7 through Acura and jumped on it. IMO amateur opinion, anything 5.0 or under and you are doing well.

7% 48 months on my horrible, horrible credit (thru AHFC). I don't have any money problems at all, but my credit is in the tanks thanks to some rediculous previous hospital bills that show up. I'm hoping this auto loan (my first) helps me rebuild my credit.

3.9, 60 months through AHFC. I think it was a promotion for memorial day weekend when I got this rate.

Funny thing is, they tried to deny me this rate, asking if I have the "special invitation" for the dealer event. My wife and I laughed when we heard this, since Black_6spd had warned us this had happened to him and his wife. I just told them if other can get it, why can't we?

My gf and I bought an 06 Civic Coupe, got 2.65% through the Navy Federal Credit Union. I got an extra discount becuase I've been a member over 20 years. Best credit union around. Practically free money.

Holy crap! 84 months? That's ridiculous for a car loan. That's like 7 years. dang... if you NEED THAT LONG to pay off your car... you are seriously living beyond your means.

FYI, I ended up getting 4.94% for 36 months via the Costco link posted earlier in this thread. The best my Acura dealer would offer was 5.25% for 60 months. A friend buying a Honda just got 5.2% for 60 months from his dealer (after I told him I could get 5.25%).

STL: was that Mungenast or Leta that offered you 5.25%?

Neither, I'm buying from Acura of Springfield (Missouri). Neither local Acura dealer was willing to deal like the one in Springfield. Talk to Nathan there and tell him I sent you!

Care to share your deal (nav/non nav, color & price)? You can PM me if necessary. I bought my RSX from Mungenast and was hoping that as a return customer they woul dbe more willing to deal.

I got mine for 5.25% through Patelco Credit Union here in the Bay Area for 60 months. I got that dropped down from 6.50% offered through Acura.
