wow they made it look more aggressive.....
wow, 6spd auto tranny... "sport tuned" steering...
ok toyota is finally leaning the camry towards the sportier/luxury side...
but yea... in the end ..its still a camry...

The headlights look like warts, the way they stick out from the front view. The hood area just above them looks like they'd been beat with an ugly stick too. The trunk edge, looks like they've been Banglified, no thanks. Center console has no buttons to the point of it looking like it came out of a 10,000 dollar car. The light blue backlighting is a bit cartoonish.
It's not really winning me over in the looks department...

I like the gauges on the Hybrid. The center console also looks better than that on the SE. How's the nomenclature go for their trim levels? Maybe the SE is the lowest class, hence the center console and gauges looking so crappy?

There's one thing you can say about a Camry, though.
They are fuel efficient
Taken last night.
That said I don't really like the new Camry and would take a TSX over it anyday.

The front end needs work, but it actually aint too bad. Still though, I picked my TSX because of the manual feature. When will Toyota bring back the manual tranny? It's almost none existant in their lineup except the corolla and matrix.

Don't do it, my first car was a Cam., while it is a very reliable car, you won't enjoy driving it like the TSX. But people who drive Toyota's must think they are on the same level as Acura's, I have an 03 CL-S and Toyota Solara's and Camary's try to out run me everyday.
If you do trade it in for curb appeal get the SE version with the TRD kit, it will still be a Camary but it will look good.

A Camry is a very nice family car...nothing but a family car. Toyota is not known for their torque or power...and seems very boring to drive.

That Camry is crap, but(for the price its great) I have suggestions for Toyota below
1. Bit Smaller
2. Sharper in the back, with smaller lights
3. Front needs smaller lights, and a bigger grille, and adjustment in the fogs
4. Hid lights obviously
5. Awesome navigation system
6. HID lights, bluetooth, voice commands (650+), leather, autoseats
7. 2.4L 205HP iVTEC engine
8. Keep the price the same =)
If toyota fulfills those requirements, I'd jump all over the camry ^__^
Otherwise, a Camry has already established itself as the best selling car EVER......... basically everyones gonna have one

mmmmmm....
I really like it alot!!~ very nice interior! You guys have to admit that! Give some credit for what they done. I wouldn't buy camry but they improved so much from 05 gen. My girl friend has 04 camry and its not a bad car. It's very comfortable, easy to drive, smooth, and quite. I don't understand why you guys dissing on camry without good reason. The only reason I found from reading each everyone's comment were family car??!?? com'on

Buuut...... Needs improved looks, and features are lacking pretty far back even if you spend the extra 10k to make it even close to TSX's interiors. For example, compare the steering wheel of the Camry vs the TSX..... You will notice a difference of about..... 4 VERY VERY imporant buttons. Anyway, I still don't think the price is worth it =.=. XLE's start at 22k, V6's are about 26k, adding ALL packages will be at least around 30 minus *because its a camry* discount + tax still around 30-31k. Still missing bluetooth, HID lamps, voice commands, better nav system, and of course the better badge.
You can't really compare Tier 1 to Tier 2..... in terms of badge difference. Most people don't know that much about cars, and will always take a second look when its a Lexus, Infiniti, or Acura, but blow past the camrys, accords, and altimas. 2nd tier is always viewed as the better even if the 1st tier can do just as much.

toyota's approach to offering "sporty" models:
tack on a useless lower body kit and add a SE badge to it.
nice how they dont bother to change the suspension and lower the ride.

if only they can bring some of the toyotas of old, or even a few models from the jdm (i.e. corolla levin, etc.).
i really like the new camry. but no, i wouldn't trade my tsx for it. i'd buy one for my dad though...

Atleast it is better looking than the 2006 Civic (god that is ugly)
The new camry is pretty nice, of course its not as fun as the TSX in terms of driving (thats a given). My family has a 96 camry that is pretty comfortable and handles like a boat, pretty fun to mess around in

Safety Car
No
The main reason being that I do not believe in trading down. Not saying that there is anything wrong w/ the Camry, I just would not go from an Acura to a Toyota. Lexus is a different story ...

1. HID's are available
2. Navi's on Toyota's aren't bad
3. why get 205 hp 2.4L if you got 280 at hand that gets same mpg
4. Price increase is minimal sim. to 05 to 06 tsx
5. Leather, power seats, bluetooth, and voice activated is all available.

6MT or Death
I have a suggestion for Toyota: Release the new Supra so I can sell my 06 TSX and stupidly put myself in debt over a car who's insurance rates will probably cost more than my monthly rent.
