New brakes

I just installed new EBC slotted rotors and Wagner Thermo quiet ceramic pads.
It is a huge difference in braking power, feel, they are super quiet, and I like the look of slotted. So for you guys looking for new brakes, I high recommend this setup. This was my 1st time doing brakes and it wasn't hard at all, so save yourself a few bucks and try it yourself.

This the front rotor brand new, it came coated in black zinc.

This is the front rotor after about 1 week now (and repainted calipers)

This is the rear after a week.

And this is how it looks put all together

Cool. If you can, post back to report a long-term review - like 4-6 months.

What was the ball park cost for front/rear rotors and pads?

I've gone 65,000 on the same front pads and I had my rear pads changed out about 20,000 miles ago. I wouldn't mind changing to something more "stylish" and increased braking performance. I did not experience any noise or warping issues with my TSX like others in the 4 years I've had her.

Did you buy them online or locally? I'm looking for a set of rear rotors/pads to attempt to do it myself but I am yet to find any good canadian online store. It's looking like I'll have to go through some local part stores

I got the rotors from www.autopartsway.ca for $388 bucks, included free shipping in Canada. I got the pads from Partsource for 118 bucks, and then you also get a $30 mail in rebate. So altogether for about $500 all new brakes.

why not just get them from Tirerack given the parity of the dollar.

Credit cards are not giving parity they set there own rate but its close. When ordered from the states, we still have to pay tariffs, the shipping is more and usually takes longer, and when we pick them up we have to pay our local taxes as well. And i shopped around autopartsway.ca was the cheapest for what i wanted. I was even going to order some online and have them shipped to my hotel in Las Vegas next week. But I didn't feel like carrying 50lbs of brakes in my luggage.

2 month report(about 1000 kms) on the new brakes. They have lived up to everything that i have put them through. Great braking, very quiet, no shimming at all, very even wear, no fade from a hard stop from 130km to 20km (accident on the highway). Again for about $500 its a great package. I will update again in the fall after about 6 monts.
