New 05 TSX in Miami
Hi, I helped my sister get her new Carbon Gray 05 TSX AT non navi two days ago. I loved the car ever since I the first time I saw it, I made a list of cars for her to check out which included the Maxima, Murano, S40, Mazda 6 and the TSX, we checked out the others but she forgot all about them once she saw the TSX in person. You just can't get a nicer car for the money, period..
She wanted to get a navi but my dad talked her out of it and other than the cool factor I honestly don't see her getting the extra 2k$ out of it.
I'm not from the US so I'm not used to haggling witht he dealers, in my country you either pay sticker price or you don't buy the car, the price doesn't come down but it doesn't come up either. I knew of the reputation dealers had but I hadn't experienced it myself...boy was I in for a wild ride. We almost got screwed at S. Florida Acura I think was the name, we were negotiating the price of the car and after like 2 hours of talking came down to 26k (minus the trade in car) for a navi which was an awesome deal, I asked him after he said yes to make sure: "so it's 26k minus the trade in +taxes for the car right?" he said yes, but when my sister is about to sign I'm going over the papers and it turns out he changed it and now it was 26k cash +the trade in (4.500), a whopping 30500$+taxes for the car. I was in shock, so we took all of our stuff and got out of there, what a bunch of crooks.
The next day we went to Esserman Acura, we had decided to get a non anvi instead, after a litle haggling we got it for 26.500$ which I know isn't much under MSRP but the car had gotten there the day before, it still had the plastic protective goo on it and it had like 1 mile on the odo. They threw in the protection package for free and wheel locks. The salesman was a nice guy too so that helped.
She couldn't be happier with the car and I have to beg her to let me drive it, it's a sweet ride . Ill hang around here gathering info and Ill try to get her to join this forum, it's pretty nice .
Oh, btw, anyone from Miami? she wants to get the windows tinted but I don't know what the laws are here regarding that, also, does anyone know a good shop around here to get it done?
Thanks, TSX rule!

Dude, I saw your car. I was at Acura of South Florida, I think it was Wednesday night. It was the only CG TSX, non-navi, and the salesman, Rich, said it was sold. It was probably sold to you. I was about to go down there and make a deal on either a TL or TSX, whichever was the better deal. I'm glad you told me this...maybe i'll head over to Esserman? I mean the sales person swore to me that I will not find a cheaper Acura anywhere in south florida, but I might check out Esserman now. I was going to go to Rick Case, but it seems like they are too busy to even return my phone calls.

You should definately check out esserman nissan, our salesman was called "Pepe" (Jose something) and he was a very nice guy, I don't know if they have any TSX left though, they recieved 8 I think on thursday, 5 of which were already sold, we took one so that's 6. We went to Rick Case, they have many TSXs in there, a bunch non navi carbon grays and I think 2 silver ones with navi. The best deal we got for the silver with navi was just a hair below 28k so we walked away but I think it's worth checking out, maybe you can get a nice deal.
