When I got my car, the XM trial ended early. I forget how many months it was supposed to be for the free trial (3 months?). Mine ended a month too soon. I called XM and looked into it. Apparently, the dealership had initiated the XM radio on my car one month prior to me getting the car. So I had to talk to the dealer and XM and had to have them both talk to eachother for me to get my complete free trial. It wasn't that I was being cheap (I ended up getting the XM subscription), it bothered me that the dealership had initiated it and didn't bother to reset it prior to delivery. HTH.

I had the opposite experience. When I bought the car (CPO from Performance Acura in Chapel Hill), XM was active. It ended about 10 weeks later. I thought, "Bah, 2 weeks early for a freebie, no big deal." Then it "magically" got active again in November. Then I got a letter notifying me of my free trial period starting in October. Basically, the dealership left the "demo" mode active for several weeks, then submitted for the trail. Nice of them....

Maybe the dealership you bought from would do the same for you. Do you get it serviced there regularly? Sales department most likely would be the ones doing it, if you sweet talk them....

my free trial ended one month early. I called xm-it was their fault not the dealer-The person I talked to said my three months was up since it started in Nov. I had to explain to her how to count months- They stopped it in January. I got it back with two months added but I did not know about the $77.00 but now have it.
