Need some advice

Hey all, I need some advice. We are expanding our family and looking in to trading in our Tsx ( so sad) for a suv. What are some good pre owned suv out there. Im leaning on the Mdx but is something else out there better for around 25K or under . I don't want to spend more then 25K though.

Thanks

Funny...I'm trading my SUV (Volvo XC90) for a TSX this week. You may be able to find a 3-4 year-old XC90 (not sure how long they have been out) in your price range. I liked mine - just needed something more economical.

For me, the TSX is a bit more family-friendly than what I tend to get (sporty cars). Heh, I guess it's all relative. Our other car is a Subaru Forester. It doesn't seat more than the TSX, but it does have more room and looks like an SUV, if you gotta have that family look. :-/

Why don't you lease the MDX? There are some dealers that will let you walk off with an MDX with a $500 down payment + $425ish per month for 39 months. I was looking into that but with gas prices, I don't think I can afford an SUV

then you wouldn't be stuck with trying to sell it when gas prices are $9.00 a gallon

True.... that's why I was thinking about leasing it instead of buying it. OMG... I use to complained when I had to fill my TSX up every other day..... but compare to other people that drives a lot more than I do, I can't really complain.....

yeah I hear you there. The gas prices scare me to. I just wanted a little more run with trunk space. I tried to put my 2 year old son's car that he sits in and drives around using his feet and it wouldn't fit in the Tsx. Since we are planning for baby # 2 I though it would be nice to have a bigger ride. I was leaning towards Mdx but leasing is out of questions since we drive a lot. hmmmmm

Go get a mini-van and keep the tsx. It is what you really need and way more pratical and cheaper than traded in your tsx for those gas hunger suv.

Gas prices SHOULD scare you. But a smarter alternative would be a station wagon.
Better mileage, handling, safety, etc. with almost as much space as an SUV.

Maybe the Subie Legacy. Or the Mazda6. If you want to tempt the electrical gremlins, go German: Passat Wagon, A4/A6 Avant, 3- or 5-Series wagons, MB too.

If it HAS to be an SUV, consider the Toyota Highlander (better mpg, car-like ride). Or wait for the RDX (Jan. '06?).

I thought RDX won't be out until at least Summer 06? I could be wrong....
And does wagon really get more millage? hhmm....
Besides the point Tster, I hear your pain......
but like captainjack said... if you really want an affordable SUV get the highlander its pretty nice to drive.... or you can go with the pilot.... everything that an MDX has with a Honda emblem on it....
Hope this helps

Will a $20,000-out-the-door-brand-new 2005 Toyota Senana CE minivan better than an used MDX?

My friend just bought one 3 months ago for $19500 out the door.
It is big comfy and loaded with horse power. And that thing drive like a car. I can also make a 90 degree turn at 35 mph without any problem. You can hear the tires squeezing LOUD but you feel like you are going straight.
