Need quick price advise

Its time for my mom to get a new car, we've been looking at an auto tsx without nav. After looking around the lowest price so far is $23,000 for a 04. Do you think I can do any beter than this? I am in Westchester County in NY. I'm going to the dealer later so I wanted some info to throw at them. Thanks

A sales guy offered her 25k, she told him that she had a much better deal and he said ok I could do 23k. I'm kinda suprised my self, but he is even being kinda pushy and wants to move the car before the end of the month. I'll find out later tonight how serious he is.

are u sure it's a new car? cuz that price is extremely low, considering the msrp is 26,490. i recall the last guy on this forum paid about 24,500, including fog lights, but his car already had 500 miles on it. that was still a great price.

i paid 25,300 with sun visor about 4 months ago, so yeah, 23k is great.

Just warning you......if you buy from Bedford Hills they NEVER have a loaner. Other then that I find the sales and service good.

Is anyone on here from Missouri? Where and when did you buy your TSX and what did you pay?

For you not from Missouri, do you think there's any legitimacy to the concept that a car can and should cost significantly more/less depending on your region of the country?

For the purpose of this discussion, "significant" can be defined as $500 or more.

Which reminds me...is there any reason I wouldn't have a car shipped from New York if the price difference was greater than the price to ship?

If you can get it for $23k, let me know.. because I'm gonna forget about waiting for a 05 and go get it now.

Yea seriously watch out.. $23k.. there's gotta be a catch.. like the dealer will add on "whatever" fee on top to make it the same price.

buyers guide

I don't want to start a new thread for something this dumb...I saw a 'new car buying guide' on here a week or so ago and wanted to re-read some of it. Now I can't find it.

Can anyone point me to it?

Sorry to get eveyone excited over the price. Well heres the latest. We hit 2 dealers, Bedford Hills and Central Avenue. Central ave. was the once who said 23K, but once we went back, he says he didnt guarantee that, he would "see what he could do", he started refering to demo models. Basically a bunch of BS. The lowest I could get is both around $800 over invoice, about 25.5k. I dont have patients for this stuff......and I know people have gotten an 04 for less than 25.5.....plus the 05 are coming in!!!!!

I also must add that my family has bought 3 cars from Bedford Hills, our salesman no longer works there, but when we mentioned this to the sales guy there, he told me that there is "No loyalty anymore", I mean I thought he was kidding, but he was serious. Thats not service to me, they left a very bad taste in my mouth.

I went through something like that a while ago when looking for my Civic. The dealers will say ANYTHING to get you to come and sit down. I could mention any price and they would just straight lie. "sure sure, we will beat any price, come in" like some robot. Once you go in, they will say no.. and probably hoping for us buyers to just buy it there anyway.

Of the two in Westchester, I've had decent experiences from Larchmont and Curry (Central Ave). You should be able to do better than 25.5. I was set to go to Curry since they offered in an email to beat the quote I received from the Larchmont dealer (also in writing). But now that you've described your experience, I'm not so sure. Damn shame man. My only experience thus far has been with Toyota in Yonkers and BMW up in Spring Valley. No nonsense and painless for both but Acura has been anything but... geez. I might go with Larchmont just because he didn't make me feel all greased up after the conversation. Have you gone to that dealer?

I've never been to Larchmont, I'm gunna look at them, plus I'm going to try heart acura in fishkill too. Hopefully I'll get a better response from them.

All this talk of Larch is bringing back memories.

Seriously, I'd think Thursday would be the absolute best time to go and deal on a car on the lot. Prices for the 05s will be out on Friday.

Please do us a favor and stop using ONLY LOCATIONS (I was like WTF is "Central Avenue" ?) to refer to dealer.( Bedford Hills Acura, Curry Acura...)
Use names. Thanks
